February Newsletter

Hello all,

I hope that 2025 has got off to a good start for you. The New Year is proving to be a very creative one here at Art Bug. Everyone has enjoyed making the Paul Klee inspired puppets; some very interesting interpretations of the original characters made by the artist in the 1920’s as well as some wonderfully unique creations from the children’s own imaginings.

In the coming weeks children will be experimenting with  drawing with dip pens and ink as well as learning the principles of single pointed perspective. All of their artwork can be seen in their sketchbooks. Some of the children have chosen to leave their books with me until the end of term, but if you would like to see what they are doing, please ask them to bring their books home with them after their next session.

This half term, we will be running sessions at Caper Bookshop 2.30pm-4.30pm Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th February 2025. For more information and to book, please visit Caper – A family bookshop in East Oxford

There will also be sessions at St. Nicholas Church Hall, Old Marston. 2.00pm-4.00pm Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th February 2025. To book, please visit Club Dates & Booking – Art Bug Club

Thank you for supporting Art Bug Club this term and looking forward to more creative fun with the children in the weeks to come!

Best wishes,

Catriona
